I have created this blog, only to let all of you know about my beautiful village and people's named Thodeekam.
All Nambiars are welcome.Nambiar is the title of a Kshatriya caste from Kerala in South India. Nambiars are found mostly in the Kannur district in North Kerala. The Kshatriya Nambiars are considered to be the second highest Kshatriya sub-caste.All Nambiars are generally considered to be Arya (and of Indo-Iranian origin), having migrated to Kerala with the Namboothiris from outside India (See Aryan Invasion Theory). Their distinctly different customs and traditions, which are in fact strikingly similar to North Indian and even Indo-Aryan customs and traditions. Nambiars, along with the Namboothiris are thought to have helped to integrate Sanskrit (their previous native tongue) with Tamil dialects to form Malayalam. The origins of the name "Nambiar" is thought to be a variation of "Namboothiri" (the brahmins whom the Nambiars accompanied from outside Kerala, and who are thought to have a common background) and "Nayaka" meaning ruler or leader. lam.... It is a small village in Kannur District, Kerala state, In india.
